SOS Children Village of Lhasa held theme activities to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the liberation of Tibet serfs

On March 28, 2017, in order to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the liberation of Tibet's serfs, SOS Children Village launched anniversary theme activities.

In order to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the liberation of Tibet's serfs, the village organized all the cadres and workers to carry out the village cleaning. We hung banners to create a rich festive atmosphere, which inspired cadres and workers’ participating enthusiasm and reminded them to remember the history and be grateful to current life.

On the morning of March 28, 2017, the village launched the "rise the national flag and sing the national anthem" activities. With the national flag and bright sound of the national anthem fluttering in the wind, cadres and workers, surrounded by the atmosphere of solemnity, sacredness and full of hope, sang the song passionately to describe their love to their nation. Village chief Qiongji made an important speech, claiming that this is a celebration of the major political festivals, which is like the torch to illuminate the past and the future. He hoped that cadres and workers could realize the significance of the festival and educate and guide their children to cherish current life.

Cadres and workers said that standing on a new historical starting point, they would more consciously cherish today's hard-won happy life and work hard to build a harmonious and beautiful villages. They would also unite as one and make a positive contribution to the cause of children raising.
